Backend Developers (Java, Python, Elasticsearch, Cassandra) in Barcelona

We currently have an opening for a backend developer.  

Our backend developers are focused on building robust micro-services  that are designed to be distributed, fault tolerant, easily deployable and use modern software concepts such as service registry, software load-balancing and circuit breakers .  

You will also be part of the team that is responsible for the processing of large data sets and creating the algorithms that give this data meaning.  This includes applying and developing machine learning techniques to add more insights and features to our data.  

You'll be working in a fun, fast and informal working environment and get to work with various technologies such as:

• Java and Python
• Spring Cloud
• Cassandra
• Mongo
• Elasticsearch
• Hadoop

We also provide the latest IDEs as well as Apple equipment to work on.  There is also free awesome Illy coffee and beer in the fridge.  

Required skills:

• Strong computer science background including good knowledge of concurrency, data structures and algorithms (distributed systems is a plus) .
• Good Java skills
• Experience with one other language such as Python, Scala, Ruby or Closure
• A love computer science and problem solving
